Raolat Abiola is the founder and CEO of O Altar Productions Inc. She is an award-winning screenwriter and Cornell University alumna who has studied at Tisch and the University of Leeds. American by birth, with a puissant Nigerian heritage, Raolat was raised in New York and spent years living in Europe and West Africa. In the winter of 2016, she relocated to Toronto, where she has attained the peace which is effectuated from inhabiting a society that is built on principles which closely align with one’s internal values.

Fearfully & Wonderfully MADE is Raolat’s first film and she was assiduous and unsparing with respect to every aspect of its development. This involved spending years composing and revising the feature-length screenplay from which this short is an excerpt, casting exceptionally talented actors, and recruiting a perspicacious crew with centuries of combined experience.

The ensorcelling nature of the script inspired scores of ACTRA-members to audition for roles in the film, an Emmy® award-winning filmmaker to come on board as its Supervising Producer, and industry veterans to contribute invaluable expertise in roles ranging from Stunt Coordinator to Sound Designer.

The motion picture Raolat and her team created together is an artistic achievement that honors both the trust Raolat’s collaborators placed in her when they joined this project and the story which compelled them to do so. The film is a gripping entity unto itself. As a direct consequence of the short's success, its feature-length progenitor is currently in pre-production.
